Susan Almusa, D.D.S.
Susan Almusa received her D.D.S. degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. Dr. Almusa further completed her prosthodontics training at the University of Michigan and VA Medical Center. Following her Prosthodontic residency, Dr. Almusa completed a fellowship at the University of Maryland in implant dentistry.
Dr. Almusa is a current member of the American College of prosthodontists and Academy of Osseointegration.
She enjoys all facets of dentistry with an emphasis in implant and aesthetic dentistry.
Dr. Almusa is bilingual, speaking both English and Arabic.
Brooke Bell, FNP.
Brooke Bell, FNP, has worked at Jefferson Plastic Surgery since September 2016. She previously worked as a nurse on a surgical floor at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) for six years. While working, she also obtained her masters in family medicine from Thomas Jefferson University. She is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Though she found her job at HUP rewarding, the patient outcomes were almost always unknown. Her interest in cosmetics stem from the ability to make people look and feel good about themselves. She has taken multiple classes on injecting and has been personally trained as a nurse injector by Dr. Steven Copit. She is certified in both Botox and injectable dermal fillers by Aesthetic Medical Educators Training.
Nina Blackhurst, DMD
Dr. Blackhurst graduated from Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry in 2013 and completed post-graduate training at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Reading, Pa. She has since been in private practice in General and Esthetic Dentistry.
Lisa Blessington, L.E.
Lisa Blessington is a highly trained clinical esthetician and has received extensive training throughout her career. Her expertise includes clinical skincare, medical microneedling, advanced laser technologies, and medical grade chemical peels with exceptional attention to detail and patient care to ensure exceptional results.
She has been a licensed Esthetician since 2001 and enjoyed an 11 year career at a large Health System before coming to deme.
Lisa is passionate about skin care education, customizing treatment plans and combining technologies, for individual patients skin care needs to achieve beautiful healthy skin.
Lisa prides herself on helping her patients to be the best version of themselves. She likes to understand each one of her patients to incorporate the best overall regimen for them and their lifestyle.
Steven E. Copit, M.D.
Dr. Copit and his team are part of the oldest continuous plastic surgery practice in the United States. The history and tradition of this practice is evidence of the quality of plastic surgical care that they provide.
The team’s vast experience has allowed them to adapt and modify different surgical techniques to provide patients the best possible result. The goal is to afford patients the most up to date procedures providing natural results with the least discomfort and quickest recovery time possible. Kristine D’Ancona, Licensed Dental and Medical Assistant
Kristine D’Ancona has been working as a dental assistant for demė’s co-founder and director of dental care, Dr. Thomas George, since 1997–11 years before demė opened its doors in Center City and on The Main Line, when Dr. George maintained his well-known and -reputed private practice. Loyal and naturally warm to patients both long-term and new, she is licensed to take dental X-rays.
Thomas George, D.M.D., F.A.G.D.
Thomas E. George, D.M.D., F.A.G.D., graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1984. After completing a two-year General Practice Residency at the University of Pennsylvania, he remained at the Dental School as full-time faculty for two years.
Dr. George went on to become Director of the General Practice Residency in advanced dental training at the Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia where he taught for thirteen years, while also maintaining a private practice.
Dr. George is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry and maintains a cosmetic and general dentistry practice with an emphasis on advanced dental esthetics. Along with his wife Cheryl, Dr. George is co-owner and co-founder of demė.
Aside from basic restorative dentistry, Dr. George performs a wide range of cosmetic dental procedures, including porcelain veneers, implants, various teeth whitening processes, non-metal restorations and removable prostheses, smile evaluations, and aesthetic sculpting as well as emergency services, root canals, non-surgical and surgical periodontics, oral surgery, and oral medicine.
Patrick J. Greaney, Jr., M.D.
After graduating from Jefferson’s six-year accelerated premedical-medical program in cooperation with Pennsylvania State University, Dr. Greaney continued his full general surgery training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He then went on to complete advanced training in burn reconstruction, plastic surgery, and microsurgery in New York City at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill-Cornell, Montefiore Medical Center, and NYU Langone Medical Center, respectively, before returning to Philadelphia. Dr. Greaney is Board Certified by both the American Board of Surgery and American Board of Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Greaney is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Plastic Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He has been the recipient of numerous academic and teaching awards. Dr. Greaney has also published his work in major plastic surgery journals and presented at a number of regional and national meetings. Dr. Greaney resides with his wife in Center City, Philadelphia.
Amy James, D.M.D., M.S., P.A.
Dr. James is a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and has been running her own practice in South Jersey where she utilizes the latest technological advances in the industry. Her top priority is providing patients with friendly, comfortable care that is specialized to each individual’s needs, and she prides herself on providing the highest quality orthodontic care to each patient.
Dr. James is a faculty member at Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry in the Graduate Department of Orthodontics. She is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Mid-Atlantic Society of Orthodontists, New Jersey Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, New Jersey Dental Association, Southern Dental Society of New Jersey, Cooper Hospital Regional Craniofacial and Cleft Palate Team, and the Charles H. Tweed International Foundation for Orthodontic Research. She is also one of several international instructors for the Tweed Foundation.
After graduating cum laude from Dickinson College, Dr. James received her Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania and her Orthodontic Certificate of Specialty and Master of Science in Oral Biology from Temple University. She completed a one-year hospital-based general practice residency in San Francisco, a two-year commitment as a general dentist, and a two-year orthodontic residency before opening her practice in both Haddonfield and the Long Beach Island area in New Jersey.
Dr. James is an active member of Rotary International and travels with Rotaplast to third-world countries working with a team of specialists to perform cleft lip and palate surgeries and reconstructions. She has traveled to China as an Orthodontic delegate with People to People and has lectured to the General Dental residents at UMDNJ.
Matthew P. Jenkins, M.D.
Dr. Jenkins is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Plastic Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Dr. Jenkins earned a BS/BA in biology and sociology from Boston College, after which he obtained a medical degree at Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. He continued his medical training at Temple University Hospital where he completed his general surgery residency and a fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Jenkins is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery.
Dr. Jenkins has published academic articles in the top plastic surgery journal and has presented research at several academic conferences. A native of Pennsylvania, he lives in Philadelphia with his wife and daughter.
Robby Nelson, L.E. and Makeup
Robby Nelson is an award winning Makeup Artist and Clinical Aesthetician with 20 years of salon/spa experience. His approach to makeup was never trend driven, but always a “less is more” attitude. Always believing that the quality of skin determines the success of any client’s makeup, he has turned his focus to the practice of clinical skincare at demė.
Tracy Nucera, R.N., B.S.N
Tracy Nucera is a graduate of La Salle University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Her nursing career started at University of Pennsylvania in the surgical ICU.
She ventured to Southern California where her love of skincare and plastic surgery was born. It was there that she trained under renowned San Diego plastic surgeons learning the art and science of injectables.
After starting her family she relocated back to the northeast. With 10 plus years of injecting experience she continues to practice her love of injectables. She holds advanced certificates for all injectable fillers including Juvederm, Restylane, Botox Cosmetic and Dysport.
With over 10 years of injecting experience Tracy’s goal is to make her patients look and feel their best with the most natural result.
Jill Ranoia, L.E.
Jill Ranoia is a highly trained clinical aesthetician and educator in advanced laser treatments and skincare. She has been practicing for over twenty years and has been training physicians and aestheticians for the last ten years using Alma Lasers which she uses along with other lasers at demė. Her passion for laser technology motivated her to become a leading expert in the field. Jill takes pride in her personalized treatments that are goal oriented creating a specialized protocol for her patients.
Melinda Sampson, RDH
Melinda graduated from The Community College of Philadelphia in 2004. Her primary focus is achieving optimal dental health through patient education and state-of-the-art dental treatment.
Melinda resides in Philadelphia with her husband and two children. They enjoy the outdoors in the Pocono mountains and Jersey shore.
Merriam Seyedain, D.M.D., M.S., DABP, DICOI
Dr. Merriam Seyedain, a Board Certified Periodontist, joined our team in 2016. Dr. Seyedain is also an Assistant Professor of Periodontology and Oral Implantology at Temple University, Kornberg School of Dentistry teaching periodontology to future generations of dentists and periodontists.
Dr. Seyedain is a diplomat of ICOI (International Congress of Oral Implantologists), the world’s largest dental implant organization.
She completed her DMD at the University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental Medicine and later her residency in Periodontology and Oral Implantology at Temple University. She was also awarded a Master’s degree in Oral Biology upon Graduation from residency with a published thesis on Whole Saliva Sulfur Strip to Screen for Periodontal Disease. She has had multiple other articles published in the Journal of the Biological Chemistry in the field of Bone Tissue Engineering.
Dr. Seyedain’s specialized training and interests include periodontal therapy, periodontal plastic surgery, and implant surgical procedures.
Jennifer Troped, L.E.
Having enjoyed a successful 20 year career as a licensed dental hygienist, Jen refocused her professional goals and was certified as an aesthetician in 2014. Her passion for aesthetics coupled with an unwavering commitment to spectacular patient care is what brought her to demė.
Jen came to demė from a large Main Line Dermatology practice. She specializes in Laser Hair Removal, Pixel, Micro Needling, IPL, Microdermabrasion, Dermaplaning and Chemical Peels.
Jen has an aesthetics certificate from The Jean Madeline Aveda Institute as well as a Bachelors’ degree from Northeastern University and an Associates’ degree in Dental Hygiene from Harcum College.

Ani White has been sculpting brows in addition to being a highly skilled makeup artist, trained in photo/film/television makeup for nearly 20 years.
